Crozes-Hermitage: the finesse and power of the red and white wines of the Rhône

The Crozes-Hermitage appellation, located on the left bank of the Rhône, is the largest of the appellations in the northern Rhône Valley. Renowned for its red wines primarily made from the Syrah grape, as well as its white wines produced from Marsanne and Roussanne , this appellation offers a beautiful diversity of styles combining finesse, fruitiness and structure.

A varied terroir and a favorable climate

The Crozes-Hermitage vineyards extend across varied soils, composed of granite, rolled pebbles, and clay, with a predominantly southwest exposure. The temperate Mediterranean climate promotes a slow and even ripening of the grapes, guaranteeing balanced and aromatic wines.

The red wines of Crozes-Hermitage

The red wines, made primarily from Syrah, are characterized by aromas of red and black fruits, spices, floral notes, and sometimes a hint of smoke. They are supple, with good tannic structure, making them enjoyable to drink young while also offering interesting aging potential.
