French Bloom: the 0.0% sparkling wine that keeps the soul of wine

Estate name

French Bloom

Wine region

Limoux, Languedoc

Appellations and terroirs

French Bloom sources its grapes from the heart of Limoux, in the South of France, the historic birthplace of French sparkling wine. The Haute Vallée de l'Aude, where the vines are planted, enjoys cool nights, a favourable altitude and a climate conducive to the aromatic development of Chardonnay: conditions that encourage natural freshness and tension in the base wines intended for dealcoholisation.

French Bloom positions itself as a house of premium dealcoholised sparkling wines: not a substitute, but a gastronomic proposition in its own right. The aim is to recapture the ritual, complexity and elegance of a sparkling wine, with an aromatic build and a length on the palate that can hold their own at the table.

Signature grape variety

Organic Chardonnay, the core grape of every French Bloom cuvée, chosen for its freshness, its aromatic precision and a structure well suited to dealcoholisation.

Philosophy and history

French Bloom was born in 2019 from a simple observation: there was no alcohol-free sparkling wine worthy of the moments that call for one. The founders, Maggie Frerejean-Taittinger and Constance Jablonski, set out to fill this blind spot, not out of ideology but out of a demand for flavour. They were joined by Rodolphe Frerejean-Taittinger, co-founder and CEO of French Bloom, whose experience in French sparkling wines shapes the technical making of the cuvées. In 2024, Moët Hennessy (LVMH group) made official its stake in the house, a further endorsement of a credible premium positioning.

Production specifics

The starting point is genuine winemaking: French Bloom produces organic base wines from Limoux, specifically designed for dealcoholisation, then dealcoholises them at low temperature down to 0.0%. The aim is to preserve structure, acid backbone and aromatic range, not to erase them. The final blend incorporates natural and organic ingredients, including lemon to support freshness, and the bubbles are added at the very last stage.

In November 2025, French Bloom announced the acquisition of a 25-hectare estate in the Haute Vallée de Limoux, a world first for a house dedicated exclusively to alcohol-free sparkling wines. This vertical integration aims to strengthen control over the base wines and the consistency between terroir and final style.

The house's commitments: organic, vegan, no added sugar, no added sulphites.

Pairings and uses

French Bloom cuvées are served in gastronomic restaurants and luxury hotels in more than 60 countries. The freshness and tension of the Blanc naturally steer it towards aperitifs, seafood and light starters. The Rosé, more structured, pairs readily with delicate cuisine with fruity or spicy notes. Both cuvées can also serve as a base for sophisticated alcohol-free cocktails.

Recognition

French Bloom was honoured at the World Sparkling Wine Awards 2025 with the title of “World's Best Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Wine” for Le Rosé. The house also features in the Air France La Première selection.
