Philosophy and History

Founded in 1829 by Jacques Joseph Bollinger and Paul Renaudin, Maison Bollinger remains one of the few Champagne houses still family-owned. Since the 1990s, a rigorous focus on quality has been maintained, with a constant commitment to respecting the terroir, taking the time to develop the craft, and achieving artisanal excellence. The House cultivates a taste for tradition, sharing, and a unique style.

Production specifics

The Bollinger style rests on five pillars: an exceptional estate vineyard, a predominance of Pinot Noir, the use of reserve wines aged in magnums, barrel fermentation, and extended aging on the lees. Pinot Noir makes up more than 60% of the vineyard and the blends – a backbone that provides power, structure, and refinement. The grapes are harvested by hand, sorted, and vinified with uncompromising precision. The rare "Vieilles Vignes Françaises" cuvée is made from pre-phylloxera vines.

Recognitions

Highly acclaimed in international rankings and specialist guides, Maison Bollinger is a benchmark among the great Champagne houses. Its cuvées, including the "Spécial Cuvée", the "Grande Année", the "RD" or the "Vieilles Vignes Françaises", are praised for their finesse and longevity.

The instantly recognizable Bollinger style combines depth, vinosity, freshness, and elegance. It is the expression of unparalleled craftsmanship, demanding viticulture, and a sincere love of great wine.
