Burgundy – Côte Chalonnaise (Givry)
Located in the hamlet of Poncey, south of Givry, Domaine Vincent Lumpp spans 9 hectares of carefully selected vineyards. The estate focuses primarily on the Premier Cru vineyards of Givry, which it cultivates with remarkable precision. The slopes benefit from marly clay-limestone soils, rich in minerals, which impart finesse and depth to the wines. The ideal exposure and meticulous vineyard work allow the full expression of the unique character of these Chalonnais terroirs, which are too often overlooked.
Pinot Noir (reds); Chardonnay (whites)
Vincent Lumpp, a demanding and meticulous winemaker, passionately perpetuates a family tradition. He practices sustainable viticulture, respecting the natural balance, by prioritizing soil management and careful control of each plot. This plot-by-plot approach, combined with precise winemaking, reveals the unique identity of each vintage. The estate distinguishes itself through its commitment to showcasing the finest terroirs of Givry, with unwavering dedication and exacting standards.
The harvest is exclusively manual, with rigorous sorting in the vineyard. The white wines, made from Chardonnay, are slowly pressed, then vinified and aged in oak barrels to preserve their minerality and aromatic complexity. The red wines, made from Pinot Noir, ferment with indigenous yeasts and are aged for 12 months in barrels. The wines express themselves with rare precision, combining structure, accuracy, and freshness. Aromas of black fruit, notes of licorice and blond tobacco characterize these balanced, harmonious, and profound wines.
The Premier Cru wines of Domaine Vincent Lumpp are among the finest in the Côte Chalonnaise. Praised for their aromatic purity and finesse, they are regularly featured in specialist guides such as Bettane+Desseauve and La Revue du Vin de France. The estate is renowned for its unwavering commitment to quality, meticulous work, and rigorous approach to terroir-driven winemaking.
With its clean, pure, and refined style, Domaine Vincent Lumpp consistently reveals the elegance of the Givry terroir. It embodies the authenticity and finesse of the great Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines of the Côte Chalonnaise.
Discover the selection from Domaine Vincent Lumpp and let yourself be seduced by the delicacy and authenticity of an expressive Côte Chalonnaise.
