A wine gift box: the gift idea that never goes out of style

Birthday, Christmas, Mother's or Father's Day, Valentine's Day, retirement, housewarming: a carefully chosen box of six wines always strikes the right note. It combines the generosity of a fine present, the precision of an informed choice and the surprise of appellations the recipient might not have explored alone. Each box is shipped in reinforced packaging designed to protect the bottles, and presentable enough to be given as it is, with no need to rewrap it.

  • Every occasion covered : from €59.90 to €154.90, our boxes suit every budget and every moment of sharing.
  • Packaging designed for shipping: reinforced wedging made for bottles, dispatched within 24 to 72 working hours depending on your region.
  • Free delivery on orders over €300: ideal for grouping several boxes for the festive season or a company event.
  • Human advice close at hand: our team answers by phone or email to help you find the right box for your recipient and the occasion.

Which box should you choose?

New to wine, or looking for a gift that will please everyone?

Our range under €70 offers two complementary ways in. The Grand Sud Box at €59.90 brings together six wines from the South of France (Mourvèdre, Viognier, Grenache, Syrah) from five producers in Languedoc, the Rhône Valley and Gascony, including a sweet Côtes de Gascogne cuvée for a change of style. The Tour de France Box and the 100% White Box, at €69.90 each, broaden the map: six regions represented in the first, six contrasting styles of white in the second, from Loire Sauvignon to the organic Alsace Gewurztraminer of Domaine Muré.

Want to deepen your understanding of terroir?

The €70-100 range goes one step further in precision. The White Terroirs Box at €88.90 offers four expressions of Chardonnay (in Burgundy, the Mâconnais, the Ventoux and Beaujolais, the latter a barrel-aged Chardonnay in the style of the whites of the Côte) so you can gauge the influence of terroir on a single grape variety. The From Languedoc to Burgundy Box at €94.40 is built along a north-south geographical axis: from the Mourvèdre and Syrah of Les Jamelles to the Pinot Noirs of Givry Premier Cru and the 2014 Côte de Nuits-Villages from Frédéric Magnien, which our team selected at its optimal maturity. The Terroir Discovery Box at €99.90 leans towards committed white wines: organic Gewurztraminer, Viré-Clessé, organic Saint-Chinian La Clairière; five whites alongside one red for ageing from Pic-Saint-Loup.

Looking for a gastronomic selection or an exceptional gift?

Above €100, our boxes meet the expectations of seasoned wine lovers and make fine corporate gifts. The Burgundy & Beaujolais Box at €139.90 sets the Morgon Côte du Py of Jean Foillard (a historic figure of Beaujolais, making wine with no added sulphur since the 1980s) alongside the Givry Premier Cru Clos-Saint-Paul Monopole from Lumpp, to understand what unites and what distinguishes Gamay on the granite soils of Beaujolais and Pinot Noir on the clay-limestone soils of the Côte Chalonnaise. The Champagne & Burgundy Box at €154.90 is designed for a complete dinner party: two Champagnes from family houses (Drappier, Aube; Grumier, Vallée de la Marne) and four Burgundy wines, including two from the Côte Chalonnaise, from the aperitif to the main course.

Frequently asked questions about our discovery boxes

What is a wine discovery box?

A discovery box is a selection of several bottles chosen to represent different appellations, grape varieties or styles of wine around a common theme. At Les Vins de Carole, each box brings together six bottles selected by our team after tasting, following a logic of progression or comparison: the wines answer one another, they never repeat each other.

How are the wines in your boxes selected?

All the wines in our boxes come from our catalogue, which is itself built through regular tastings. We source directly from more than 130 partner estates and houses, which allows us to control traceability and to know each cuvée over several vintages. No bottle is ever listed on the strength of a medal or a technical sheet alone.

Can I give a box as a gift? Is there special packaging?

Yes, our boxes are designed to be given as they are: the packaging is reinforced for transport and smart enough not to need any additional wrapping. If you would like to include a personalised message with your order, contact our team by email or phone before it is dispatched.

What is the difference between the three price ranges?

The range under €70 focuses on accessibility and regional variety: cuvées from well-known estates in easy-to-understand appellations, ideal for a first purchase or a gift that will please everyone. The €70-100 range steps up in precision: clearly identified terroirs, grape varieties compared side by side, committed approaches (certified organic, old vines). Above €100, our boxes include Premier Cru cuvées, wines for ageing that are ready to drink and benchmark estates (Foillard in Morgon, Lumpp in Givry, Drappier in Champagne) for a seasoned wine lover or an exceptional gift.

How many bottles does a box contain?

The boxes in the Les Vins de Carole selection contain six bottles. We chose this format to allow a comparative tasting over several evenings without committing to a whole case: enough to explore a theme in depth, but not so many that you end up with duplicate bottles.

What are the delivery times and costs?

We ship your orders within 24 to 72 working hours from our warehouse, depending on your region. Delivery is free on orders of €300 or more; below that, shipping costs apply according to weight and destination. Each box is shipped with reinforced padding suited to transporting bottles.

Can I put together a bespoke box?

Our boxes are selections put together in advance by our team. If you would like a bespoke assortment (by region, by grape variety, for a specific budget or for a corporate event), contact us directly: our team will suggest a tailored selection that meets the same quality criteria as our standard boxes.
