Champagne
EPC works exclusively with independent winemakers spread across carefully selected terroirs: Sermiers (Montagne de Reims, Premier Cru), Côte des Bar (Vallée de l'Arce), and the Coteaux du Sézannais. Each of these terroirs, characterized by chalk, marl, or sandy clay, imparts a unique expression. The Meunier from Sermiers shines with its freshness, the Pinot Noir from the Côte des Bar reveals power and fruit, and the Chardonnay from the Sézannais offers finesse and brilliance. The geological and climatic typicity is at the heart of each cuvée.
Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier
Founded in 2018 by Édouard Roy, Jérôme Pilet, and Camille Ose, EPC was born from a shared desire for freedom and modernity in the world of Champagne. Their ambition? To completely rethink the Champagne model, placing the winemaker at the heart of the process and championing radical transparency. Each cuvée is traceable: terroir, vintage, composition, winemaker, and method are clearly indicated. This new generation of Champagne houses does not seek to replicate the codes of classic luxury, but rather to reconnect Champagne to its origins: a living wine, meant to be shared, shaped by those who cultivate it.
EPC wines are made exclusively from the first pressing, guaranteeing finesse and aromatic concentration. The model is based on direct and equitable collaboration with the winegrowers, ensuring fair compensation and appreciation for their production methods. The grapes are cultivated using sustainable viticulture practices, in organic or biodynamic conversion, and each wine is vinified without excessive technology. Aging is tailored to each cuvée: a minimum of 36 months for the Blanc de Noirs, 60 months for the Grand Cru, and up to 144 months for the vintage wines. Dosage is intentionally low, sulfites are limited, and the wines undergo no unnecessary treatments. Even the corks are carefully selected to avoid any sensory defects. All tasting accessories are European, recycled, and have a reduced carbon footprint.
The Brut (65% Meunier, 15% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Noir) originates from the southwest-facing slopes of Sermiers, with a lively, fruity, and balanced style. Perfect as an aperitif, it pairs ideally with warm focaccia or truffle popcorn.
The Blanc de Blancs Brut , 100% Chardonnay, comes from the Coteaux du Sézannais. It seduces with its aromas of citrus and apple, and pairs wonderfully with oyster mushroom risotto and veal onglet in a hazelnut crust.
The Blanc de Noirs Brut , 100% Pinot Noir, expresses all the power of the Côte des Bar. Roundness, tension, notes of red fruit: a gastronomic champagne, perfect with a soufflé pizza or a pavlova.
EPC is committed to complete transparency. Each bottle comes with a traceable information sheet accessible on the website, detailing the terroir, vintage, method, and profile. Consumers thus have access to all production information, breaking with the traditional opacity of the Champagne AOC. This educational and responsible approach is aimed at both novices and connoisseurs. The bottles' clean and modern design reflects this clear and committed spirit.
In just a few years, EPC has established itself as a rising star, featured on the wine lists of Parisian restaurants and in innovative champagne bars. Its approach attracts sommeliers, wine merchants, and journalists seeking genuine projects and well-made wines. Their 2011 vintage, crafted in collaboration with biodynamic winemaker Franck Pascal, particularly impressed with its purity and depth.
With EPC, Champagne aims to be accessible, joyful, and respectful. It can be enjoyed in a flute or a large glass, at the office or in a bistro, for celebrations or simply for pleasure. It's a free-spirited wine, without an elitist label, but with a rare commitment to origin, ethics, and quality.
