Rhone Valley
Domaine des Remizières covers approximately 38 hectares, spread across several strategic communes in the southern Rhône Valley: Mercurol, Crozes-Hermitage, Tain l'Hermitage, Larnage, La Roche de Glun, Saint Jean de Muzols, and Vion for Saint-Joseph. This geographical diversity allows the estate to cultivate a wide range of complementary terroirs, composed primarily of clay-limestone soils, lending richness and complexity to the wines produced from its various appellations.

A family estate for several generations, the vineyard began with 4 hectares and initially produced some of its wine at a cooperative winery. From 1973 onwards, winemaking was carried out entirely on-site, marking a crucial step towards the estate's autonomy and quality. Philippe, Alphonse's son, took over in 1977, initiating exclusive bottling and progressively modernizing the facilities. Today, Emilie and Christophe, both graduates in oenology, represent the new generation, driven by a shared vision and a family commitment, perpetuating the values of high standards and respect for the terroir.
Domaine des Remizières prides itself on rigorous and meticulous work throughout the year, both in the vineyard and in the cellar. Vineyard management follows an environmentally responsible approach, recognized by the HVE (High Environmental Value) certification. The diversity of the small plots allows for plot-by-plot vinification, enabling the full expression of each terroir. The harvest, which generally begins in mid-September, is meticulously prepared with regular tastings and analyses to guarantee optimal ripeness.
The vinification of white wines involves gentle pressing, a long alcoholic fermentation at low temperature, and aging in tanks or barrels depending on the terroir. For red wines, 100% destemming, pre-fermentation maceration, rigorous monitoring of alcoholic fermentation, and maceration for approximately 25 to 32 days are key to controlled extraction and a refined aromatic expression. Aging for 8 to 15 months in barrels, demi-muids, or foudres allows for maturation on fine lees with regular stirring, guaranteeing the complexity and finesse of the wines.
Domaine des Remizières is prized for the distinctive character of its wines, which combine concentration, finesse, and balance. Its ability to blend family tradition with technical innovation has earned it recognition among both wine enthusiasts and professionals. The consistent quality of its wines from the Crozes-Hermitage, Hermitage, and Saint-Joseph appellations testifies to a proven expertise and a deep respect for the terroir.
The Domaine's wines are distributed in bottles to individuals, catering professionals, wine merchants, as well as for export, where they are enjoying increasing success.
